As a domestic hinge manufacturer, we make our own tooling and produce a wide variety of hinge types and sizes, including:

Continuous Hinges

Our continuous hinges are known for their quality and reliability because of our unique manufacturing process and ability to produce close tolerance parts. Only Knuth Hinge punches the hole or piercing patterns into the hinge after forming to maintain ±.005 inch position tolerance. Total end play and side play can also be held to this same exacting tolerance. Accurate alignment is provided, while uniform strength is maintained throughout the length of the hinge, creating smooth pivotal action.

We can custom manufacture continuous hinges with:

• Notched or radius-cut corners
• Slots, holes, countersunk holes, key slots, and more
• A variety of lengths, widths and finishes
• Springs (or without, if needed)

Our continuous hinges can also be manufactured to limit the travel of the leaves to a specific angle. While standard assembly continuous hinge leaves lay flat in the open position, other options include:

• Reverse assembly

• One leaf swaged

• Both leaves swaged

• One leaf bent

• Offset

Butt Hinges Series 4500

Knuth butt hinges are available in a variety of materials, gauges, pin diameters and knuckle lengths with loose or tight pins. Pin retaining can be:

• Staked

• Brazed

• Welded

• Knurled

• Peened

  

Corners can be flush cut or formed with a radius. Our butt hinges can be spring loaded to hold the door in either the open or closed position. Spring release butt hinges are available with either single or double bolts.

Lift Off Hinges Series 3500


Single Pin Hinge

Slip joint hinges or lift off butt hinges are used for quick and easy door removal. Single pin lift off hinges are available with bullet tips on request.

Specify material and finish:
1 Housing and keeper—anodized alum alloy.
 Pin—zinc plated steel.
2 Housing, keeper and pin—steel, no finish.
3 Housing, keeper and pin—zinc plated steel.
4 Housing, keeper and pin—stainless steel.
