 Knuth Hinge Company has been making hinges and latches for over 35 years. In addition to manufacturing a wide selection of standard products, we provide our customers with a variety of custom items as well. Because we produce our own tooling in-house, we can provide first article or production quantities in the shortest possible lead time with less cost. We pride ourselves on our ability to produce close tolerance parts. Only Knuth Hinge punches the hole or piercing patterns into the hinge after forming to maintain ±.005 inch position tolerance. Total end play and side play can also be held to this same exacting tolerance.
Knuth Hinge stocks an assortment of materials for hinge and latch production including: stainless steel, aluminum, cold rolled steel and plated brass. We can provide specialty treatments and coatings such as powder coating, anodizing and electropolishing. Plain and specially formed leafs styles are available as well as a wide variety of piercing shapes (round, square, notched, rectangular, slotted, etc.). Loose or retained pins can be provided. Retaining can be either staked, brazed, welded, knurled or peened.

Spring loaded hinges allow a door or lid to close automatically or to spring open, depending on the placement of the spring. They are made to order to suit your individual needs. We stock torsion springs in a variety of sizes, configurations and rotational forces for use with some of our butt hinge and continuous hinges.
